If the radius of curvature on the tent tubes
(measured in an erected tent) is smaller than the following
limits or tolerances, prebending of the tent tubes is
required. Prebending removes the excess stress put on the
tubes and brings the stress below the maximum allowable
level. Prebends are calculated and measured (in inches) as
the offset of the tube forms a straight line. Tubes with
prebends form a constant arc, with approximately 1.5-2
inches at each end of the tube remaining straight to allow
the inserts to function smoothly.
As part of Easton’s customer service, we will determine the
prebend parameters for your specific tent model upon
request. You may send your tent to Easton for this
complimentary stress analysis. For details contact Easton at
800-800-6686. Note: prebends are only available with full
radius bends.
